Emergent Method is seeking a qualified candidate with grant management and grant compliance experience to support various projects related to federal and state programs. This is a full-time position based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Remote candidates may be considered and are encouraged to apply.
Candidates should be self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented individuals who adapt quickly to shifting business priorities and enjoy collaborating on diverse projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Oversee compliance with grant regulations, guidelines, and requirements from state and federal funding sources
  • Develop and implement compliance policies, procedures, and protocols and monitor grant-funded projects to ensure alignment with approved budgets, schedules, and performance metrics
  • Prepare and submit regular compliance reports to funding agencies, ensuring accuracy and timelines
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for grant expenditures, project progress, and audit readiness, tracking key milestones and deliverables
  • Review and approve grant-related expenses to ensure compliance with allowable cost guidelines
  • Coordinate with funding agencies, partners, and stakeholders to ensure that program goals and compliance requirements are met
  • Conduct internal audits to identify and address potential compliance risks; support external audits as needed
  • Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal grant management policies and procedures, including maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations and guidelines
  • Monitor grant activities and performance, ensuring that deliverables and milestones are met according to the established timelines
  • Communicate regularly with subgrantees to monitor activity, compliance, and performance
  • Provide technical assistance and training as necessary to subgrantees to support grant compliance
  • Participate in meetings and briefings with stakeholders to communicate project status and address any issues or concerns
  • Perform other duties as requested by the project team to support overall grant operations

Minimum qualifications and expectations include:
  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, public administration, or a related field
  • Two to three years of experience in grant management, program management, compliance, or related experience that clearly demonstrates comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Knowledge and experience working with government agencies, grant programs, and grant regulations
  • Experience with grant management platforms and data analysis tools for project tracking and compliance monitoring
  • A strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other reporting functions
  • Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills
  • The ability to be a true problem solver with a willingness to “roll up sleeves” and understand and complete tasks and projects
  • A keen attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering results
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and multitasking skills
  • The ability to monitor and report on multiple deliverables with a focus on meeting and exceeding deadlines
  • A willingness to learn new skills and adopt new methodologies
  • A proven ability to work independently with minimal oversight, demonstrating initiative and a self-starter attitude to meet program goals and deadlines effectively
